The Marker Jester X 16 MWerks is the more direct, more modern take on the Jester idea. It keeps the high-end freeride intent of the Jester name, but moves the skier much closer to the ski for a more connected feel on snow.
The X-Series platform uses an integrated brake design to lower stand height, giving the binding a flatter, more precise connection between boot, binding, and ski. The Triple Pivot Elite X toe is compact and strong, and the Inter Pivot X heel keeps the platform short, solid, and powerful. The result is a binding that feels especially direct underfoot when you are carving, landing, slashing, or driving a ski through variable snow.
This is a serious alpine freeride and freestyle binding for advanced to expert skiers who want the 6–16 DIN range, but also want a lower, more responsive interface than the traditional Royal Family platform. One important note: unlike the Jester 16 ID, the Jester X 16 MWerks is for Alpine and GripWalk boots, not touring soles.
