The Marker Griffon X 13 takes the new X-Series feel and puts it into a slightly more approachable package than the Jester X. It is light, quick, and direct, with a lower stand height that helps the ski feel more connected underfoot.
This binding is built for all-mountain creativity. The compact X-Series construction helps reduce swing weight and keeps the ski responsive, whether you are carving groomers, skiing bumps, playing in the park, or moving through soft snow on the sides of the trail. The 4–13 DIN range covers a wide group of strong skiers without stepping into the heavier, higher-DIN Jester category.
Compared with the Griffon 13 ID, the Griffon X 13 feels more modern and more direct. The tradeoff is boot compatibility. This binding is built for Alpine and GripWalk soles, not touring soles.
Best for skiers who:
- Want a lighter, more playful freeride binding with a direct feel
- Ski in the 4–13 DIN range
- Spend time on groomers, side hits, park, bumps, and off-piste resort terrain
- Use Alpine or GripWalk boots
- Want lower stand height and quick edge response
- Do not need touring-sole compatibility
- Should move to the Jester X if they need a higher DIN range or a burlier freeride platform
